Face-to-Face Premarital “Coaching” based on…

The Marriage Playbook by Ralph Griggs

Note: Face-to-face “coaching” is not required for me to officiant your wedding. I only offer this because some couples request it. You can use my online marriage prep course if you wish (it is also not required) – but it is included in the wedding fee and will save you $60 on the marriage license. Read about it here.

Marriage isn’t built on one big game-winning touchdown—it’s built on a series of small, repeatable plays executed day after day.

In the game of life, your partner is your most valuable teammate. You’re not just two individuals on the same field; you’re a cohesive unit with a shared goal: to build a strong, lasting legacy together.

Think of this playbook as your offensive and defensive strategy. It’s filled with 20 practical, everyday habits—drills, if you will—designed to sharpen your skills as a team.

Just like a championship football team, you need more than raw talent; you need discipline, communication, and a clear game plan.

We’ll cover everything from the quick “audibles” you can call to avoid a fumble, to the long-drive “red zone” plays that bring you closer to scoring big wins in your relationship. Each play is simple to learn and easy to execute, giving you the tools to anticipate challenges, celebrate victories, and always have each other’s backs.

More Action, Less Talk

A winning team doesn’t spend all its time in the locker room endlessly reviewing plays on a whiteboard. They learn the strategy, then get on the field and execute.

This program is built on the same principle. It’s not heavy on theory or digging endlessly into your past. Instead, it’s focused on doing. It’s not what you know that matters; it’s what you do. And it’s not what you do once in a while, it’s what you do all the time. We’ll give you the plays, and you’ll get on the field and run them.

Let’s get ready to get in the game and build a playbook that will help you win at love for a lifetime.

👉 These aren’t theories — they’re practical plays you can run every day. Simple. Doable. Powerful.

Here’s a taste of the game plan:

  1. The 5-minute habit that keeps you connected daily.
  2. The screen-free play that brings real connection back.
  3. The secret ratio that makes positivity outweigh negativity.
  4. The fight strategy that keeps conflict fair and productive.
  5. The weekly checkpoint that keeps your marriage on track.
  6. The curiosity spark that keeps you learning from each other.
  7. The daily glue that makes love feel secure.
  8. The surprise factor that keeps romance alive.
  9. The team-first mindset that turns problems into shared challenges.
  10. The fun play that keeps friendship alive.
  11. The celebration habit that makes everyday effort matter.
  12. The dating drill that keeps things fresh long after the wedding.
  13. The shared goal play that makes teamwork real.
  14. The stress handoff that helps you support each other the right way.
  15. The ritual routine that builds stability in love.
  16. The quick repair strategy that stops resentment early.
  17. The laughter play that keeps joy alive.
  18. The time-out rule that protects your relationship from overload.
  19. The money huddle that reduces financial stress.
  20. The love language play that makes your partner feel truly valued.

Our Game Plan

Here’s how we’ll run the plays together:

Three times, we’ll meet for 60-75 minutes (at my home or by zoom). We’ll go over the plays from the playbook one by one. I’ll provide a clear explanation of each play, and we’ll take some time to discuss how it applies to your relationship.

The real work happens between our sessions. Your job is to go home and practice what you’ve learned. The goal isn’t just to talk about the plays; it’s to get on the field and run them. By doing this, you’ll be building practical, repeatable habits that will strengthen your connection.

We’ll cover as many of the 20 plays as possible in our three sessions. The total cost for the 3 sessions is $245. (If I am officiating your wedding the fee is reduced $50 to $195).

Let me know if you’d like to get started.
