“Wanna to talk about me, wanna talk about I…oh my, me my” – inspired by Toby Keith
I was born and raised in Nashville — a true unicorn these days. While ministry and school have taken me to other states over the years, I came back home in 2000 and have stayed put.

My wife Mary and I have four children and four grandchildren. Best not ask – we have tons of photos in phone storage. We’ve lived in the same house in the Bellevue area for over 20 years. We love to travel and usually spend a few weeks in Mexico each year to relax, recharge and remember what quiet is like.
I’m a lifelong non-denominational minister — ministry is all I’ve ever done. I hold a Master of Theology degree and have completed doctoral-level work in ministry. But don’t worry, I don’t talk about the merits of existentialism in my ceremonies.
Helping couples with their wedding ceremonies has been one of the great joys of the last two decades.
Over the past 20+ years, I’ve officiated thousands of weddings. It’s a gift to be part of one of the happiest and most meaningful days in people’s lives — and I’ve had the chance to do that in some truly beautiful and unique settings.
The best compliment I get? When guests come up after the ceremony and ask if I’m the couple’s longtime family minister. We don’t try to fake that — it just happens naturally when the ceremony is heartfelt and personal.
